Description: We are seeking a Broadcast Development Engineer to be based in our San Francisco headquarters. The Broadcast Development Engineer develops custom applications that enable CURRENT to have an air look and feeling unlike anything else on TV. The Current Technology Group (CTG), as assemble through the years a unique workflow that is supported by Macintosh Computers, Quicktime and real-time graphics. As member of the development team, you will develop native Cocoa Mac OS X applications that uses advanced API such as Core Graphics and Core Animation. Responsibilities:
- Develop Mission Critical applications for Broadcast Systems on Mac OS X.
- Participate in the requirement, analysis, design, coding and deployment phases of the development process.
- Communicate with the user of the application.
- Be part of a small and focused development team.
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Mac OS X professional development.
- Strong Knowledge of Objective-C.
- Degree in Computer Science.
- Strong OO design skills, data modeling, and application architecture.
- Experience with XML and Web Services, JAVA, SQL and UML.
- Knowledge of Open GL and Quicktime
- Experience with real-time systems
- Good Knowledge of the Professional Television domain.
- Proven ability to deliver great code and functionality within impossible timelines.
- Good understanding of software development methodology.
