Categories: Application Development jpg> Job Description: Were looking for a senior developer with technical leadership experience to act as the highest-level technical expert on the development and implementation of complex, large-scale internet and intranet applications on the Microsoft platform. The successful candidate provides expert knowledge of web technologies including ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, IIS, SQL Server, and SharePoint. As the technical lead, you will provide direction and guidance to the software development team on a daily basis. In addition, you will provide leadership in researching and tracking new web technologies, the design and development of new NavRisk products and product components, as well as analyze business requirements as they pertain to those systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Develops web-based software, components and services using the Windows .NET software development platform. Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle. Works with Project Management, Product Management, Architects and other Application Developers on application design and development. Consults with the QA and development teams in the resolution of application-related problems. Mentors junior team members, makes design decisions and leads development projects. REQUIRED SKILLS Strong technical understanding of the .NET framework, design patterns, and best practices Experience developing enterprise level web-based applications using Visual Studio .NET. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full software development life cycle. Excellent problem solving skills required. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Resourceful, confident, self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment. DESIRED SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS Experience with systems and business processes supporting systems such as Accounts Payable, Claims Management, Policy Management and General Ledger. Experience with business reporting systems such as Business Objects (Crystal) or SQL Server Reporting Services. JOB QUALIFICATIONS BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related degrees. MS degree is a plus. Requires at least 4 years of hands-on web development experience in Microsoft .NET with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server. Must have strong SQL Server skills and proficient in AJAX, JavaScript and HTML. Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) is a plus. Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a fast paced, team-oriented environment. LOCATION This position is available in our San Francisco office.
