As a Lead Project Engineer in the Technology Development Group, the qualified candidate will play a senior role in the development of Dolby software that enables the next generation of digital audio and image technologies.



The Lead Project Engineer will have strong engineering project management experience along with technical leadership. This person will be responsible for leading one or more software projects that take advanced algorithms from Research and develops them into professional-quality software applications that drive a wide range of consumer and professional products in the Consumer Electronics, PC, Broadcast and Cinema markets.




Requirements:


  • Minimum of seven years of experience with BS degree, or five years with MS degree, in electrical engineering or computer science.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in C programming and software design concepts such as object-oriented design.

  • Knowledge or experience with audio signal processing required.

  • Experience with DSP programming, DSP chip architectures, embedded system programming and digital filter design is desired.

  • Demonstrated experience leading software development teams through the SDLC and interfacing with Research and Marketing teams.

  • Ability to supervise engineering personnel and provide technical mentoring and guidance to less senior staff.

  • Desire to work in a fun and cohesive team that is motivated by doing high-quality engineering work in an open and creative environment.
