Job Description:
Were looking for a talented candidate for our Professional Services group to serve in the role of Systems Integrator. The qualified candidate should be highly technical, passionate, selfmotivated, and possess the discipline and tenacity to persevere and succeed in start-up
atmosphere. Candidates with a strong background in systems engineering and database administration should read further. Some development skills are preferable.
Customer Relationship Management - The Systems Integrator will be directly involved in building trust and confidence within the IT departments of DecisionView customers. This will be done first by developing an understanding each customer’s unique IT infrastructure, standards, and documentation needs, and second by exhibiting technical subject matter expertise with regard to integration of DecisionView software applications into the customer’s
environment.
Systems Integration – The Systems Integrator will have several hands on responsibilities which
will vary from customer to customer. Among these responsibilities are installation and
configuration of DecisionView software applications; installation and configuration of thirdparty
database and ETL tools such as Oracle; data analysis and mapping; and finally troubleshooting of the installation and configuration for all integration components.
Business Process Engineering – The Systems Integrator will be directly responsible for creating
and documenting systems integration processes and standards for all DecisionView customer
implementations.
Sales Assistance - The Systems Integrator will be called on to assist in the sales process with
new customers by providing subject matter expertise where necessary, and also by providing
certain technical assistance to the sales department itself. S/he will potentially assist with project scoping and Statement of Work proposals where systems integration activities must be detailed.
- S/he may also be called on to assist with RFP responses.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other activities as requested by the Director of Professional Services
- Domestic and International Travel approximately 40-60%
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in the Information Technology arena.
- 5 years professional services systems integration experience at a company that delivers
- software solutions to large enterprise customers. Life Sciences industry professional
- services experience preferred.
- Business
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, writing, & presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical matters in non-technical terms to business
- people.
- Experience working in highly effective service organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships across all levels of a
- customers IT organization.
- Must be organized and have a demonstrated ability to be work on, and track progress of,
- multiple integration projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record in successfully completing large scale, high visibility system
- integration projects with diverse teams and demanding schedules.
- Technical
- Enterprise Application Integration expertise (front-end, middleware, back-end) and
- knowledge of technologies such as Web Services, XML, RDBMS, ETL, & TOAD.
- Experience with custom software development projects and understanding of the
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
- Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, GxPs and other regulatory requirements of the Life
- Science industry a plus.
- Experience with Validation and Change Management procedures and processes a plus.
- EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- BS/MS in computer science or related degree.
