Job Responsibilities As a critical and central contributor to the development of future release versions of Geneva, Advent’s revolutionary global investment portfolio management application. Assume the following responsibilities: Research business requirements with the software engineering team with key clients Develop functional and technical specifications Key client relationship management with development partners and clients of strategic importance Product release planning and project management, including beta test management Product training for internal Advent staff, particularly senior members of client services Qualifications Requirements 5 years experience in and solid working knowledge of enterprise Unix and/or Windows Server applications is required Experience with high volume distributed application development and implementation, including network and storage infrastructure, scalability, performance tuning, is highly desired. Working knowledge of the U.S. financial securities industry, including prime brokerage, hedge funds, asset management, fixed income, and/or fund administration, is desired. Experience utilizing and/or developing financial applications performing accounting and reporting functionality is highly preferred. Project management skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people including members of product management, development, QA, professional services and support are required. Experience managing tasks and project milestones. Strong business and technical skills and ability to quickly understand business processes. Ability to apply troubleshooting and analytical skills when resolving problems.
