Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for the planning, integration, test and maintenance for an operations center. Candidate will be required to have a full understanding of hardware and software interactions within the operations center and direct software and hardware anomaly resolution. Other duties include: surge support to mission activities, training, rehearsal participation, and general project management. Candidate should be familiar with the UNIX and Windows based Workstations and servers, various COTS packages including tools for modification and analysis of overall system processes and methodology. Candidate will be responsible for data creation, maintenance, and configuration management. Candidate develops solutions to complex system problems, which require ingenuity and innovation. Candidate develops and maintains operational tools, processes and procedures. Candidate works according to established guidelines in determining technical tools. As needed, candidate gives presentations to customer, teaming partners, and members of program management of program status. Fundamental understanding of computer programming construct is desirable. Fluency in Microsoft Project and scheduling is also desired. Experience with Tcl/Tk programming language and XML a plus. Position requires on-call support after hours. Overtime may be required. Position may require periodic travel to California. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Leads analyses for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Works under consultative direction.

Education Requirements: Level 4 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 9 to 13 years’ experience in an engineering classification or either a Masters degree with 7 to 11 years’ experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 14 to 19 years’ experience in an engineering classification or either a Masters degree with 12 to 17 years’ experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
