QUALIFICATIONS
Over ten years of diversified experience in the welding and mechanical fields. I have held supervisory and team leadership positions. I am able to formulate calculations from rough drafts or oral instructions. I can also estimate parts and labor costs for construction or tasks and complete projects on time and within budget. I have demonstrated leadership, trainer, project management and quality control analysis skills. Capable of reading blueprints and follow through construction to the finished product. Welding capabilities include but not limited to Mig, Tig, Stick, Sub-Arc, Spot and Overlay. Capable of set up and operation of automated and robotic systems for welding purposes. Alloys include but not limited to Raw and anodized Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass, Carbon, and Inconel.
EXPERIENCE
2002-2003 CREW LEADER - AZURIX OF NORTH AMERICA
·Responsibilities included the reconstruction, demolition, new construction, repair and maintenance of over one-hundred waste water treatment facilities, lift stations, and potable water treatment plants.
·Tested all new safety equipment as requested by the Safety Director.
·Responsible for company fleet vehicles to include maintenance and repair.
·Responsible for shift scheduling, work assignment and project management.
·Responsible for bring projects in on schedule and within budget.
·Responsible for the safety and quality control of my crew.
2000-2002 WELDER & FABRICATOR - SOUTHEASTERN MECHANICAL SERVICES
·Provided boiler tubes for use inside the blast furnaces of power plants throughout the United States.
·Member of the research and development team that focused on the development of custom automated and robotic welders and machinery.
·Overlaid single tubes using inconel and stainless steel.
·Built machinery and various jigs from blue prints and verbal instruction.
·Train new employees in the department.
1998-2000 CREW LEADER & FABRICATOR – H2O UTILITIES
·Responsibilities for job site surveys, cost estimates, building specification ground breaking to completion of the project.
·Team Leader of ten employees to include hiring, firing, time and attendance, evaluations and counseling.
·Responsible for quality control and safety of my crew.
·Transformed an old waste water treatment plant into a master lift station. Project cost was $2.7 million which was way below estimate.
·Established maintenance programs for company vehicles, lift stations, wastewater treatment plants and potable water treatment plants.
·Fabricated, designed, blueprinted and welded numerous splitter boxes, weirs, aeration towers, bar screens and baffles.
1995-1998 ALUMINUM FABRICATOR – QUALITY T-TOPS AND BOAT ACCESSORIES
·Constructed and welded various items for the marine industry. Tuna towers, t-tops, polling platforms, radar arches, electronics boxes, fuel tanks and other specialized items using plate and anodized aluminum extrusions.
·Constructed and welded custom fuel tanks to meet and exceed USCG specifications.
·Custom installation of marine electronics is a specialty that I have mastered.
·Responsibilities included making parts orders, training and overseeing production of new employees in my department.
·Responsible for safety and quality control within my team.
·90% of all items were custom fabricated. Errors cost money and time and were not tolerated. The error rate for my team was the lowest in the company.
·Custom fabrication of Lexan and Plexi-glass windshields.
·Built custom jigs to save time and labor costs.
1992-1995 MACHINIST & WELDER - HCI MANUFACTURING
·Utilized automated and robotic welders to produce torque converters.
·Responsible for training of new employees and to oversee production in the department in which I was assigned.
·Responsible for maintenance and repair of all machinery.
·Designed and built custom stall converters for IVWA registered clients.
·Made parts and completed supplies orders on a weekly basis.
·Through team efforts we researched and designed custom high performance stall torque converters for individual clients.
·Weekly quota was 400 units. While team leader, our average was approximately 510 units per week.
1991-1992 MACHINIST & MECHANIC – KENNY’S VW
·Machining and welding of internal engine components on stock and high performance engines for air-cooled VW and Porsche.
·Performed routine maintenance and high performance upgrades on both VW and Porsche vehicles.
·Responsible for placing parts and supplies orders, and setting up accounts with vendors.
·Responsible for maintenance of tools, machinery and company vehicle.
·Custom exhausts for street and track vehicles are a personal specialty.
·As Safety Director, I ensured that all shop equipment, tools, work area and employees complied with company safety standards which surpassed OSHA standards.
