Territory (if applicable): Corporate Business Unit: Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs. Position Purpose: This position is responsible for essential accounting processes supporting the Crop Protection business segment within Winfield Solutions, including marketing programs, current assets and liabilities. This position is also responsible for tonnage tax calculations and reporting. Managing the month end close process by preparing journal entries, preparing monthly reconciliations, analyzing balance sheet accounts to ensure proper financial reporting, complete tonnage tax calculations and reporting, working with various departments to research and resolve issues, ensuring timely resolution to reconciliation items, various other responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-3 years of experience in related field. Required Competencies & Other Skills: Ability to learn new concepts quickly, especially computer software. Ability to work under deadlines and shift emphasis when required. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous process improvement and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong oral and written communication skills, Must be able to work independently and have the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and ERP Systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required. Effective trouble shooting and problem resolution skills. Preferred Experience & Education: CPA and/or public accounting experience. Preferred Competencies & Other Skills: Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems, Hyperion- Essbase and excellent Excel skills.
