Accounting Specialist
Responsible for designing, implementing, and quality assurance of financial control programs to meet requirements of internal/external audits and Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements. Coordinate and manage the asset interface with internal and external audit teams for the control environment, as well as manage financial statement audits and customer audits. Also responsible for payroll and cash accounting activities including, but not limited to assisting with the month end close, maintaining the payroll accounts and providing support to the cash accountant. Plan and complete audits as required for key suppliers and processes. Maintain payroll accounts in the general ledger, including reconciliations to actuarial statements in both International Accounting Standards and USGAAP, complete analysis on payroll related entries for accuracy, and provide support to the cash accountant as required.

Requirements:
Requires: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Ability to plan and conduct fit-for-purpose audits, taking into account risk and materiality. Familiarity with control environments in large businesses. Strong computer skills and a demonstrable knowledge of ERP accounting system. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to effectively interact with vendors, customers, regulators and the public, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, rapidly changing environment.
Preferred: CPA certification, SAP experience, and experience in a Big 4 firm.
