Our client, an innovative, growing high-technology firm with an international presence, has a opportunity for a bright, talented and achievement-oriented Application/Sales Engineer to join its team in the TX area. This company is a recognized leader in developing solutions for the M2M market (also known as machine-to-machine or remote monitoring), automating the monitoring, diagnosis and resolution of technology problems; their products are deployed by numerous multi-national corporations.
Responsibilities:
Participation in both a pre- and post-sales role as the technical expert
Collaboration with product developers and customers on prototype design and implementation
Participation in business development, including evaluation of partner software and integrations of third party software.
Qualifications:
3+ years of customer-facing (pre-sales role) experience in presenting products and solutions to prospective customers; experience with “solution selling” for a technology company - preferred.
3+ years of programming and scripting experience with the following skills:
Java, C/C++ (must), .net
PERL, Visual Basic, JavaScript, Web Services (preferred)
Web application development (preferred)
Experience in one of the following sectors is preferred:
Telecommunications
Process Automation
Healthcare IT or Medical Devices
Highly-motivated, innovative, quality-oriented, with a strong commitment to excellence, with excellent communication skills
Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical degree -- preferred
Location: Home Office/Telecommuting in the Dallas area
Travel: Up to 50%, throughout the US, possibility of some international
Compensation: Salary up to $85K, depending on experience and prior earnings; performance bonus to $20K, based on achievement; plus benefits
