Aquatics Assistant Department Head - Syosset (Sports Management/Coaching/Scouting)
Our company is currently seeking a qualified Aquatics Assistant Department Head to drive success in our Aquatics Department.
As an Aquatics Assistant Department Head, you will assist in maintaining overall direction, operations and supervision of the Aquatics Department. Assist the Department Head in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the pool area by providing a safe, clean, and fun environment while exceeding customer service expectations.
Responsibilities
Promote and sell our products and programs; ensure Aquatics Staff are meeting and exceeding goals.
Assist the Department Head in management of the Aquatics Department within budgetary guidelines, monitoring Profit and Loss statement and ensuring parent/instructor evaluations are documented each session.
Provide monthly swim revenue and participant numbers to Department Head; assist with inventory and ordering pool supplies when needed.
Assist in completing payroll and new hire paperwork; train and develop staff; assist creation of weekly Aquatics schedule and assign team members to classes and lessons.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
College degree in Sports & Recreation or related field preferred
Two years lifeguard experience
Two years coaching and/or swim instructor experience
