The Engine Center (EC) Assembly Engineering Organization is seeking a highly-motivated individual to be a technical lead on the Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineers team in support of the Next Generation Product Family (BA/MITAC) of engines.
The Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer responsibilities include:
-Drive design-for-assembly/manufacturability (DFA/DFM) and module/part-family assembly process standard initiatives, working closely with Systems Engineering and all CIPTs/Module Centers, Mechanics, Quality Engineers & Operations Leaders
-Create and maintain prescriptive assembly floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.)
-Provide focused & effective leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.
-Identify & implement shop floor process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turnbacks /escapes and reduce overall assembly costs.
-Participate in ACE initiatives supporting the achievement of ACE GOLD in the Engine Center.
-Drive the development & deployment of comprehensive assembly engineering standard work.
Significant interaction with the hourly work force, tool designers, quality assurance, integrated product teams, systems designers and program assembly partners are typical of the position.
A high level of proficiency and working-knowledge of ACE Tools is required including Process Certification & Management , Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, QCPC/Root-Cause Analysis and Set-Up Reduction/Mistake-Proofing.

6+ years of applicable experience.
Applicable manufacturing engineering experience and engine system-level knowledge is a strong plus for this position.
