Accountable for oversight of the daily delivery of an effective clinical resource management program by providing support and guidance to the management team and staff who provide case management, social work and utilization services for the Medical Center's Clinical Resource Management Department. Assures very good service to key customers of the department: patients and their families, physicians, nurse managers, business services and outside review groups. Supports performance improvement projects with a focus on improving outcomes as well as processes; is the organizations primary clinical lead when working with insurance for utilization and reimbursement. This position takes the lead in developing length of stay strategies and Medicare/MediCal compliance programs as demonstrated by evaluation of the effectiveness of the overall program.
