DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Technical Participate in setting and managing the department strategy for achieving annual profit plan targets. Develop and implement quality strategies which will lead to internal and external quality improvements and drive customer satisfaction. Supervise quality engineering team and lab. Develop and assign projects and departmental goals. Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to continuous improvement projects. Manage, develop and coordinate local quality management system (QMS) and documents control activities and implement divisional and corporate QMS requirements. Analyze quality data and implement corrective and preventative actions to ensure continual quality improvement. Manage quality concerns with key customers through the use of non conforming material management, preventive and corrective action processes. Supervise quality concern reporting process and act as liaison on key customer APQP programs.
Non-Technical Time management, prioritizing quality projects, dealing with human resource concerns, and driving resolution of problems and people concerns. External communication with customers good interpersonal skills required.

Job Qualifications /Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 3-5 years experience in manufacturing and quality function environment. Knowledge of machining, assembly operations, gauging, process capability, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001). Lead Quality Auditor experience. Experience using PC configured with MS Windows OS and Office Software. Project management experience is preferred. Extensive knowledge and experience with AIAG Core Tools (SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, QSA). ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence is preferred. Six Sigma Blackbelt certification or equivalent.
