Amgen is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Genome Analysis Unit to function as a member of a research team, focused on providing support for animal model development and cell-based assay development in multiple disease areas. The successful candidate will be expected to perform experiments, organize, and analyze results under supervision, as well as communicate and present findings in team meetings.
Basic Qualifications - Master's degree OR - Bachelor's degree & 2 years of directly related experience OR - Associate's degree & 6 years of directly related experience OR - High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications Experience in the following techniques: stable cell-line generation, in vivo animal models, flow cytometry, and cell-based assay development
Laboratory experience in cellular biology (viral infection, primary cell/tissue culture, immunofluorescence imaging), animal works, and molecular biology (optional)
Immunology or stem cell biology background or experience with therapeutic biologics is desirable but not required
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Work independently and work in a small cross-functional team environment
