The Associate Vendor Manger will develop skills and work across all functional retail areas to grow and improve their partner vendors' success at our company.
In addition to numerous marketing and editing tasks, the Associate Vendor Manager will schedule, update, and produce content on our website's product detail pages and genre pages. They will also help with demand generation and email efforts, analyze site promotions, and make recommendations on marketing plans. Additionally, the Associate Vendor Manager acts as the `business owner' for his or her vendors in their respective categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the vendors, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives). The Associate Vendor Manager will manage the vendor relationship - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure marketing funds. The Associate Vendor Manager works directly with our vendors and at the end of the day your contributions will have a major impact on their success on our website.
The candidate possesses experience in marketing and/or finance, with a track record of successful relationship management, strong analytical acumen, and experience generating and managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and understanding of software and editing tools (including XML and Excel) will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
A background (2+ years) in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
Strong database and computer skills
2+ years of retail and/or online experience preferred
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
