Job Description
Lead the ongoing development and execution of BCU's public relations, branding and communications strategies to support BCU short and long-term organizational goal attainment.
1. Work with VP of Marketing to develop clear vision and objectives for public relations strategies that strengthen BCU's value proposition and reputation with BCU members and key potential member targets.
2. Work with other key contributors including branch leadership and the business development function to develop and implement ongoing execution of the strategy.
3. Continually articulate BCU's co-branding strategies so to build internal consensus and ultimately increase brand awareness and value.
4. Manage development and implementation of various marketing projects that support attainment of organizational goals and objectives.
5. Develop and maintain a corporate communication guideline which provides organization-wide standards for writing, designing and perpetually managing member correspondence so to remain accurate, current, and consistent in voice, quality and delivery; thereby strengthening organizational identity and brand.
6. Work with marketing management to develop and execute communication channel strategies which maximize the value of electronic, print and personal member outreach and optimize available member bandwidth for receiving information.
7. Lead copywriting, copyediting and proofing process for marketing, public-facing or member-facing communications to ensure high-quality, consistent and effective output.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• Bachelors or graduate degree required
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Min. 5 years corporate communications, branding and/or public relations experience
• Min. 3 years experience in managing cross functional projects from scope to implementation
• Min. 3 years experience in marketing campaign development and execution
• Experience in writing, copyediting and proofreading at a professional level
• Experience utilizing online communication channels including email, online social networking and web-delivery
• Demonstrated pattern of understanding and leveraging emerging communication technologies and trends
• Experience in financial services a plus
• Experience serving both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clientele a plus
