As a Carpenter Helper with Wayne Brother, you will assist the master Carpenter in performing the actual construction duties of the project. A carpenter helper must be familiar with the tools and materials used on the job, as well as the basic principles of construction. As a Carpenter Helper you will be responsible for the following but not limited to just these duties: Provides building materials to form carpenters (unless done by laborer). Uses hand, small power, and power actuated tools, as well as light power equipment, to measure and cut new/used lumber according to instructions from the form carpenter during the form building process. Erects appropriate scaffolding using hand tools. Assists carpenters with constructing and bracing concrete forms. Places panels and form units in position preparatory to assembling. REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience. OSHA - 10 Hour Certification - required Powder actuated tool certification - preferred Valid drivers license - preferred WBI Craft Training - optional Candidates should be willing to go through a background check and must be willing to work and commute to other jobsite locations as needed Must be eligible to work in the US and have current, government-issued, photo identification All new employees are required to have steel toe boots and basic form carpentry hand tools Must have a bank account (as WBI only direct deposits pay checks) The Charlotte jobsite has restricted access and extensive background checks are required.
