Seeking-Katherine Greer: early 20s, completing her undergraduate work, walking in her father's footsteps and attempts to be a poet like him, attempts to seek his approval, yet wants her own recognition and to truly find her own calling; Edmund: mid-to-late 20s, graduate student, smart, quick-witted, with an edge, not easy to know, can be easy and charming, then unexpectedly threatening, appears certain of himself, driven by a blinding sense of righteousness; John Greer: late 50s-early 60s, assumed to be the next Poet Laureate, allows himself to be coddled and protected when it suits him, revealed under his passive, civilized personality is a man capable of insensitivity, cruelty, and hubris, all of which is ultimately self-serving. Note: The following role is cast; auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary-Diane Greer: mid-40s to mid-50s, John's wife, has orchestrated his entire career, controlling, over-protective, sarcastic, fierce mother-of-the-den.
