Summary
Responsibilities include implementing CDN service technology delivery and provisioning for caching, streaming, and storage services, support activation. Coordinates activation activities requiring Vyvx broadcast and event based solutions. Is a key contributor of a highly technical provisioning, capable of delivering end-to-end content solutions in response to the business needs of a customer's web publishing environment. Maintains activation service level agreements and customer comitment timeframes for delivery.
Education and Experience
* Experience: 2+ yrs
* Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
* Field Of Study: Engineering or Computer Science
* A combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
- Experience in web publishing environments and architectures, strong knowledge of HTTP and DNS and familiarity with web caching
- Ability to manage and prioritize individual transactional workload as part of a team supporting web solutions
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers, sales teams and operations support teams
- Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities required
- 3-5 years (2 years in CDN/ASP/ISP environment)
- May participate in technical and tool requirements reviews to provide feedback to refine system and interface definitions
- Must be willing to work on call via pager and/or cell phone, including weekends or holidays to support the operations staff
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to learn and use Level 3 specific provisioning systems
- Ability to work extra hours as needed
Work Environment
Sits five to seven hours per day. Stands and or walks one to three hours per day. May bend, reach, stoop and crouch throughout the day. Should have the ability to hear, speak and see effectively to perform the necessary tasks of this position. Manual dexterity is occasionally required. The position may require frequent movement and activity relating to using keyboards, viewing data on computer displays, and communicating verbally and in writing to the needs of others. The employee-owner may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions.
