Our Client Engineers , Manufactures and Markets Disk-based Backup Appliances with Data De-Duplication that work with a customer’s current backup application to eliminate tape management challenges. They replace tape with disk at a customer’s primary site for online data backups and restores and can supplement or replace tape offsite with an optional second-site disk-based system for long term offsite retention or disaster recovery.
They sell their Disk Based Backup with Deduplication appliances through a nationwide network of Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Direct Marketers (DMRs). These partners are identified, recruited, enabled and managed by the Channel Managers (CM’s) who are responsible for all Partners in their specified geography.
Channel Manger Position Responsibilities:
The Channel Manager position is an overlay position in that the CM supports a particular geographic sales team which is comprised of Territory Managers and Sales Engineers. The Channel Manager Identifies, Recruits, Enables and Manages Value Added Resellers that fit a specific profile deemed to be most successful in the sales of the Client’s systems (currently sells Disk Based Backup, Tape Automation, Storage, Virtualization and Disaster Recovery solutions). The CM is responsible for growing and maintaining a sufficient number of VAR Partners to ensure Regional Bookings Goals are met and that sufficient Channel Pipeline is created to ensure success in subsequent quarters. The CM is not responsible for selling to end-user customers as there are Sales Representatives (Territory Managers) and Sales Engineers in the specified geography that are goaled and responsible for end-user sales in conjunction with the VAR Partner Sales Representatives which are identified, recruited, enable and managed by the Channel Manager.
Territory Covered:
The Midwest Channel Manager is responsible for all VAR and DMR partners in the Pacific Northwest and Upper Mid West
Reporting Structure:
The Pacific North West Channel Manager reports to the Director of Channel Sales.
Compensation:
The Channel Manager is compensated on a “50/50 plan” with 50% being comprised of a Base Salary and 50% being comprised of bookings against goal for all orders within the territory assigned. There is also an equity component provided as part of the package, plus accelerators for exceeding quota
