PD R&D Project Chemist II. Fresenius Medical Care. We are the World Leader in Dialysis Products and Services with a position now available for a PD R&D Project Chemist II in our growing manufacturing facility. This position requires a Bachelor's (B. S.) or Master's (M.S.) degree or six to ten years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Responsibilities include: The Chemist will assist R&D Scientist in all aspects of generic drug development, from formulation to stability testing and Documentation. The Chemist will work in close coordination with engineers, scientists, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Quality Systems to formulate renal drug products and determine chemical, biological and physical characteristics of the drug products. Other aspects of the job include conducting literature searches, patent searches, designing and patenting new ideas and preparation of regulatory documentation. Formulate and prepare renal drug products on a laboratory and industrial scale. Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications. Organize and coordinate long term product stability studies. Develop new techniques and test methods. Write SOP's and validate test methods. Daily upkeep of laboratory notebook in compliance with GMP standards. Help write and prepare regulatory documentation for submission to the FDA. Follow FDA design control concepts and product development processes to develop products. Experience with the following analytical methods: UV-Vis, pH, titrations, IC, LC-MS, GC-MS, HPLC and wet chemistry. Requirements include: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as statistics, regression analysis, data analysis, data reduction, linear algebra and programming.
