CNC Programmer
The CNC Programmer is responsible for the creation and revision of numerical control programs for the machining of parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ DUTIES
Utilization of CAM software for generation of CNC programs; Utilization of CAM software for revision of existing CNC programs as necessary
Utilization of verification capabilities of CAM software and/or separate verification software to ensure that CNC programs conform to customer drawings
Revision of programs for ease of manufacturing purposes as sensibly requested by the shop floor
Estimating cost of machined parts, fabricated parts, and assemblies
Getting an estimated cost of outside processes and materials
Putting together a bid package

Requirements:
Job Skill Requirements
Developed proficiency with CAM software (MasterCam and/or Esprit), verification software (Vericut and/or ShopTalk), program editors, and other softwares as necessary
Developed math skills as necessary to perform essential duties
Education
HS diploma
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
Software-specific CAD/CAM training or equivalent experience
Experience
Minimum 5 years machining experience or equivalent programming experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Computer Skills
Developed computer skills pertaining to CAD/CAM software and other softwares utilized in the programming
environment
