CHS has a full time opening for a Contracts Coordinator to work in our Regional office in Cape Canaveral, FL.
Scope:
Under direct supervision, maintain the accuracy, consistency, control, and safeguard of all official procurement files received or generated by internal and external customers. Assist procurement staff in the review of contract change orders, cost impact proposals, modifications, audits, and development of process and procedures. Monitor and facilitate process of procurement documents in compliance with company policy and procedure. Assist in special projects, as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work independently and may receive guidance from upper level personnel as required.
Attends meetings related to Award of new contracts, change orders, modifications, new business processes, etc.
Provide support to all organizations or departments and executive staff as required.
Assist procurement staff in the audit of government and commercial contracts to facilitate development and coordination of file structure (hardcopy/softcopy). Coordinate with all staff to organize and implement hardcopy and softcopy databases for all company or customer agreements e.g., templates, NDA's, TA's, BAA's etc., correspondence, leases, maintenance agreements, etc.
Assists in the review and processing of customer Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ), Proposal Authorization Forms (PAF), and similar processes as required.
Assist in the development of desktop procedures for review and approval by the Director, Contracts.
Ability to interface with all levels of CHS organization including government and commercial customers.
Assist in the processing of routine subcontractor invoices. Self starter, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
Performs in compliance with Federal, State, local, and international laws regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business of this branch, working within the limits of established company policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree preferred. 3-5 years experience in Contracts Acquisition, Business or Finance related disciplines. One (1) year of relevant work experience may substitute for one (1) year of required education up to two (2) years.
Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Must be able to work independently and complete duties and responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.
Ability to comprehend Federal Acquisition Regulations as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws, and the Service Contract Act.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and other PC-based applications, i.e., Microsoft Office. Ability to understand and work efficiently in new company products (hardware/software) such as GovWin, Cost Point, METS, etc.
