Description
• Typical functions and responsibilities of a Material Handler in Recycle:
• Qualify and operate Recycle equipment safely
• Sort product and take samples
• Schedule shipments and offload, document and box shipments
• Perform routine maintenance, housekeeping and service equipment in Recycle area
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to communicate, read, and understand policies, procedures, and training materials and possess strong written and verbal skills.
• Operate fork truck and maintain check sheets
• Possess solid problem solving skills
• Be capable of reading and following instructions and procedures to produce a quality product and work safely
• Ability to work in a team to achieve goals
• Ability to work with and take direction from supervision
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and determine root cause failure of operational problems
• Enter notifications
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Some mechanical ability
• Must be able to follow specified safety procedures in an industrial environment
• Self motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
• High School diploma or GED
• Must possess at least 2 years of industrial work experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to satisfy all the physical requirements and working conditions for this position with or without reasonable accommodations for this position:
• Willing and able able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, ear plugs, hard hat and safety glasses.
• Ability to walk on gravel for loading, unloading and inspections
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Able to sit, stand, bend, and squat.
WORK SCHEDULE:
• 8-hour, day shift, Mon-Fri with some required OT in a tobacco free environment.
