Times Square Studios Programming & Development
The Programming & Development department is responsible for various Daytime ABC shows currently on the air and managing new projects in various stages of development. The intern will support all members of the department to ensure that the office is running smoothly. This includes but is not limited to:
• Desk coverage
• Running errands
• Performing research on current shoes and on those in development
• Brainstorming show/segment ideas
• General administrative duties
Daytime Production Management
The intern will provide administrative support, perform project work and provide daytime executives with updates/critiques on current productions. Interns will have the opportunity to attend tapings of The View, The Chew & Katie and speak to current executives and support personnel to discuss different career paths.
•Watch & critique episodes of General Hospital & Katie then provide detailed, written feedback
•Provide administrative support to team members
Basic Qualifications •All students must be eligible to work in the US
•All students must be at least 18 years old
•All students must currently be enrolled in a US college or university or be a recent graduate within the last six (6) months -or- be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program, or Disney Professional Internship program
•All students must be available to a minimum of 2 full work days per week (8 hours/day)
•All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications •Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
•Previous internship experience within a related field
•Major or equivalent coursework in TV production, communication or media
•General familiarity of current on-air content
•Experience in writing television coverage
•Experience in covering production desks/phones
