Director, Business Consulting role provides technical, business, industry and management support to the AspenTech Sales, Services and Business Consulting (BC) team in selling to and servicing our customers. It is primarily a customer facing role that requires both excellent business and technical knowledge allied to the communication skills needed to position Aspentech solutions and services with our customers. Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of Business Consultants to support AspenTech business in China through working closely with Sales Account Team. The support functions include pipeline development, solution seminar, marketing campaign, proposal preparation, technical presentation and clarification, product demo etc. * Assign individual Business Consultants based on strategic priorities to meet country goals and objectives * Work closely with Country Manager to do Business Planning and Strategy Business Development. * Stay close with VP of sales and Business Operations, seek support and report diligently to meet country goals. * Develop the skill sets required for the junior/new hired Business Consultant * Keep updated for the team with the relevant technology developing * be a leader and a role model to disseminate passion to drive country goals and meet objectives. * Timely reporting and be an advocate for corporate compliance. * Attend China Forecast calls. Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering is necessary, Master / Ph. D is preferred * Strong people management and development skill * A minimum of 15+ years related process industrial application software solution experience * Strong Domain knowledge of oil & gas, petrochemical industries * Familiarity of one or more AspenTech Solutions ( Process Engineering, MES, APC and Supply Chain Management) or equivalent * Capability in conducting business in English and Mandarin both in speaking and writing. * Excellent presentation and demonstration skills to executives and individual contributors either in a group setting or one on one.
