Director, Digital Marketing- Music
The Director, Digital Marketing position is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
-Pitch mainstream partners including major online portals, music sites, lifestyle destinations, social networks, etc. [e.g. VEVO, AOL Music, Yahoo, MSN, MTV, , Rolling Stone, etc.). -Build relationships with hundreds of niche/genre/lifestyle partners (e.g. jazz, gospel, mom bloggers, food and wine, etc.). Build/maintain database of said partners. -Secure artist features to appropriate websites and technology companies. Seek out new opportunities, web sites, and technologies to secure exposure for artists online. -Create long-term relationships with super fans/fan websites. -Refer traffic to Legacy Recording/Sony Music web properties and D2C commerce offerings. -Create and distribute request for proposals (RFPs) for independent online marketing firms and evaluate results. -Direct and manage 3rd party/external digital marketing efforts. -Attend and contribute to all related company meetings in connection with assigned projects, and provide dept. head with timely feedback and follow-up regarding any action items. -Work closely and collaborate with internal stakeholders (primarily including: market leads, publicity, and content teams) -Prepare online marketing summaries/status reports.
