Our client is a privately-held, growth-stage company. This company is currently seeking a Director of Marketing, who will be the individual to lead all efforts associated with Marketing, Sales and Business Development in order to further accelerate the company’s growth, market penetration and brand awareness across the US. This includes all Marketing activities. The company's corporate headquarters are located in Princeton, New Jersey. Current annual revenues are less than $25 million.
This company has pioneered a consumer-oriented healthcare product - the only product on the market today proven to work for individuals diagnosed with a specific medical condition. The core offering is delivered to the consumer via a software platform on a variety of technology devices (iPads, mobile phones, laptops). The product is marketed directly to a highly targeted group of Clinical specialists across the US.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for increasing company revenues by leading all commercial activities on behalf of the company. This will include developing the strategies and overseeing the successful execution for all activities related to marketing, business development, lead generation and sales revenue. The Director will manage team of eight (8) individuals.
DUTIES:
Develop and implement an annual plan for sales, marketing and business development
Develop and achieve plan for number of qualified leads and projected sales revenues
Manage the annual sales and marketing budget
Regularly test, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of methods, costs and results for all sales and marketing related activities
Implement and track all marketing efforts that make up the “marketing channel” to ensure that all objectives are met
Manage tracking and reporting of key operational stats (leads, web demos, conversion rations, sales, etc.) and analytical sales stats (cost per lead, value per lead, value of referral sources, etc.)
Create and execute a marketing plan that promotes growth, builds awareness and raises the company’s image
Work with Product Development to develop a coherent product line, including features, product differentiation, release timing, etc.
Investigate new markets for growth opportunities while expanding and understanding existing markets
Analyze changes in technology, reimbursement, demographics, etc. that will affect growth
Form strategic relationships with key people and institutions
Manage the web site (strategy as a channel, enhancements, revisions) and the 3rd party web site vendor
Perform competitive analysis and investigate emerging marketing channels
5-10+ years of professional experience within relevant positions
Proven track record of leading sales, marketing and or business development activities within a relevant industry sector
Excellent interpersonal, communications, both written and verbal, presentation and negotiating skills.
Current or prior experience working within the Healthcare, Health & Wellness, Healthcare Technology or Medical Device industry is strongly desired
Independent, strategic and analytical thinker with good problem solving, decision making skills and demonstrated applied creativity
Ideally, has a strong understanding of Technology or Software
Displays high ethical standards and acts as a role model
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, fun and challenging environment
