Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage media relations/communications for NYSE Euronext U.S. and international (excluding Europe) cash trading and listing businesses as well as related regulatory and governance activities. The Director work to create and maintain a positive external image by developing and implementing plans that effectively communicate the company’s corporate messages. Key focus areas of the role include position collaborating across the business lines on efforts that will enhance NYSE Euronext’s brand strategy, developing and executing communications plans to support the business’ competitive positioning , and ,and providing value added media visibility opportunities for customers (principally listed issuers) and other constituents.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Develop and execute communications and media strategies that contribute the success of the company’s brand strategy and business performance. •Develop and maintain effective relationships across key print, broadcast and online media that contribute to the build a positive external image for NYSE Euronext. •Manage the development and delivery of key communications messaging, including press releases, briefing documents, speeches/presentations and briefing documents for senior management. •Work proactively and collaboratively to produce visible, effective and strategic media opportunities for key internal and external constituents, including listed issuers and key influencers. •Serve as counselor and adviser to key executives and business managers on communications consistent with NYSE Euronext’s key business objectives and values. •Manage international and domestic agencies as required, as well as priority assignment, information flow and budgets. •Play a key role in developing and maintaining an internal communications infrastructure that ensures an effective delivery mechanisms across all communications channels.
