Director of Business Development & Marketing
The Director Business Development & Marketing is ultimately accountable for revenue growth and profitability. This position is critical to company’s realization of its vision to become the supplier of choice globally for its innovative products and know-how for the production of their products.
Responsible for:
- Product Management
- Pricing & Pricing Administration
- Marketing Communications
Product Strategy:
- Grasp on market’s needs for solutions, products, and services.
- Implementation by guiding, directing, and influencing both direct reports and other functional leaders:
- Using right set of products and services, with the right set of features and functionality, at the right price, and with the right delivery profile.
Product Management:
- Directs the development of marketing programs and initiatives required to provide sales support and product training assistance.
- Trade show and exhibition strategy and execution, advertising, development and production of product promotion and collateral materials: catalogs, brochures and sell sheets, product displays.
Pricing and Pricing Administration:
- Business analysis and support for configure-to-order products and multi-product project proposals, maintenance of price lists and catalog pricing, controlling adherence to terms and conditions, and managing requests for pricing deviations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Optimize profitability by ensuring that integrated sourcing, manufacturing, and inventory plans are in place.
- Develop pricing
- Define product requirements in terms of form, fit, function, performance, selling price, delivery profile, and industry certifications.
- Develop product gap analyses and develop strategies to address open product gaps
- Develop product sales forecasts.
- Analyze competitive product.
- Analyze the competitive landscape
- Ensure product acceptance within applicable market(s)
- Builds strategic relationships with industry trade
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Increasing responsibility within business development and marketing – 10+ years
- International experience preferred – Passport needed due to some international travel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deliver presentations in both small group and large group environments.
- Ability to write reports, recommendations, proposals and other documents
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
