Director, Social Media and Digital Marketing Communications

Marketing Business Unit

The Director will be responsible for leading Comcast's Social Media strategy while coordinating with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of all Social Media efforts. The position will be charged with creating and implementing non-traditional programs and breakthrough social marketing platforms to generate further brand engagement and demand for the XFINITY products and services. In addition, the role will lead the development of all online Marketing Communications campaigns to drive acquisition, upgrade and retention efforts by partnering with the and teams. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record developing and executing innovative Social Media and online communication's programs and marketing initiatives. Candidate must have advanced knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape, trends and best practices.

- Drive and implement innovative social media strategies for the Marketing organization to maximize product exposure and brand value, including but not limited to programs that support key advertising campaigns and the execution of original promotions.
- Guide and influence the company-wide social media efforts by acting as an advocate for integration of all initiatives across the Company.
- Collaborate with PR, Comcast Interactive Media, Customer Care, , Media and Marketing to develop short- and long-term social media goals and a roadmap that aligns with the overall business objectives.
- Source and manage relationships with select social monitoring and platform partners to support and develop XFINITY brand opportunities.
- With primary internal stakeholders, establish the social media benchmarks and develop a unified reporting system to analyze data and ensure measurable results.
- Provide thought leadership to Senior Management and regularly interact with management on matters concerning social media programs, trends and issues that can impact the XFNITY brand.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive social media strategies
- In partnership with and , direct and oversee all aspects of the development of Digital Marketing Communication campaigns (ideation, creative and execution).
- Lead and direct key advertising agencies to ensure delivery of objectives and excellent execution.
- Oversee and manage the social media Marketing Communication's budget.
- Ensure collaboration with both Corporate and Field partners.





Required Skills:
- Significant social and digital marketing leadership experience within the Telecommunications or Entertainment industry.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media and networking platforms, and a strong understanding of new media consumer behaviors and trends. Requires a mix of strong interactive, social media background and ability to tackle non-traditional marketing programs.
- Active involvement in social media networks: Facebook, Twitter, etc
- Ability to effectively influence and gain buy-in across multiple organizational levels.
- 10 plus years experience in full-service agency or client side leading Marketing Communication's programs.
- Proven track record of generating results, managing teams and collaborating with others on integrated marketing efforts in digital and social media.
- Solution oriented approach to realize strategic and messaging objectives.
- Extensive project management experience, ability to manage heavy workloads and rapidly shift priorities based upon the organizational needs.
- Candidate must possess strong strategic and business acumen.
- Strong management skills and experience leading wide-scale initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the creative production process.
- Experience working in a complex, fast-paced organization is strongly preferred
- B.A. or B.S Communications. MBA preferred.
