Job Description

Immediate opening for a DISHWASHER. We are looking for energetic, motivated people with flexible schedules to work in our fast-paced 24/7 establishment.  Must be able to stand for long hours and keep up with heavy production. Position is entry-level and has the possibilities for advancement in the kitchen.

Requirements:

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all Cascade Grill dishes and cooking utensils through performance of the following duties in a timely manner thereby contributing to the overall successful operation and growth of the division.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Responsible for the efficient cleanliness and sanitation of all Cascade Grill dishes, including but not limited to scraping food off dishes, rinsing and loading dishes into dishwasher in an organized, efficient manner.  Starts dishwasher.
     
  2. Removes clean dishes from dishwasher.  Stacks dishes in uniform manner according to prescribed procedures.  Ensures clean dishes are available in kitchen area and wait staff stations at all times.
     
  3. Ensures the overall cleanliness and sanitary state of the dishwasher at all times, including but not limited to cleaning food traps, changing the water and wiping down the machine every two hours.

 

  1. Inspect all dishware before restocking shelves for cleanliness.

 

  1. Attend all monthly departmental and WCCE training meetings

 

  1. Adhere to the company’s uniform and appearance standards

 

  1. Follow company policy.

 

 

 

SECONDARY DUTIES:

 

  1. Responsible for keeping dish room floor clean and dry during scheduled shift.
     
  2. Break down cardboard boxes and stack in designated recycle area.
     
  3. Assist in stocking incoming supplies.
     
  4. Assist in cleaning a variety of food processing equipment.

 

  1. Responsible for empting and relining all garbage cans at end of shift.

 

  1. Remove dish carts and bus tubs from bar area and breezeway.

 

  1. Assist with set up and break down of banquets and brunch lines.

 

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors, Leads and PIM Management.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related dishwashing experience highly desired.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several unknown variables.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Ability to speak is English is required.

 

  1. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  One story restaurant/kitchen.   Overtime may be required with approval of the supervisor.
