This position is responsible for the processing, dispatch and coordination of law enforcement response from the Communications Center located in Raleigh, NC. Responds to requests for officer response, monitors security, fire, and infant protection systems. Collects pertinent demographic data, determines and contacts appropriate responding units, maintains calls in the database utilizing real time data entry, and provides responding officers with all necessary information. Obtains officer status through the duration of each call. Initiates emergency action plans in case of incident/accidents as requested by hospital staff. Maintains patient clothing and valuables logs, lost and found logs, and courtyard access logs.
Experience Requirements :
At least one year experience in telecommunications, computer data entry, emergency dispatch, and the ability to multi-task under strenuous situations required. Two years experience working with general public, security, or law enforcement experience preferred.
Education Requirements :
High School Graduate or equivalent required. Two year degree in related field preferred.
