Electronics- Producibility Engineer
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
Provide technical support to supply base, in country Low cost teams & commodity buyers for various Hamilton Sundstrand electronics products (transformers, magnetics, electronic assemblies).
Key Liason and interface with Business Unit engineering on strategic cost reduction initiatives
Perform (`cnew supplier entry assessments(`d as they relate to producibility of electronics components.
Identify and support Quote packages for (`cbuy-to-buy(`d transitions of electronics assemblies/ components.
Identify and support cost reduction projects to ensure that the short and long term objectives for cost reduction are met.
Perform lean manufacturing and quality initiatives for process and quality improvements.
Support Transition Managers in all regions to ensure seamless transitions
Support supplier development & lean activities in LCS regions
Bachelors Degree in Electronicis or Industrial Design. Masters Degree Preferred.
6-10 years of experience.
Aerospace, Automotive
Optional skills / Knowledge of Emerging Markets, Supply Management, ITAR, iClass, IESM processes
Optional job titles / Purchasing.
Strong, motivated & team player with a desire to question the current status and strive for streamlining & improving processes. Strategic thinker who looks 2 steps ahead. Change agent for HS cost reduction initiatives.
Planned International travel will be required. Primarily India and Mexico.
