Post Start: 2012/02/01 Post End: 2012/02/29 Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW Reporting to the Manager, Emergency Services the Training Coordinator provides professional training delivery, program development expertise and auditing in all areas of emergency response activities including fire, medical, hazmat and rescue.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Develop, coordinate and deliver Emergency Response training programs (fire, medical, hazmat and rescue) to all Emergency Response personnel including plant operations personnel, fire/rescue teams and fulltime Emergency Services personnel (Fire Fighter, EMT, EMT-P & RN) at Oil Sands, InSitu and Fort Hills locations
* Perform annual audits of all fulltime Emergency Services personnel (Fire Fighter, EMT, EMT-P & RN) at Oilsands, InSitu and Fort Hills locations to ensure our training programs are in line with NFPA guidelines and best industry practice in the areas of fire, medical, hazmat and rescue
* Maintain operational knowledge and skills for all emergency response apparatus and equipment and to assist, when required, with knowledge and skill expertise during any downgrading incident
* Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all Fire Training Ground facilities and equipment
* Provide leadership to ensure all Emergency Services programs and processes support our Journey to Zero philosophy while paying due diligence to the protection of the environment, and adhering to all applicable legislation
* Work closely with all Mutual Aid Partners and Training Institutions to provide opportunities for Joint Training Synergies
* Minimum 5 years of Emergency Services Experience
* NFPA 1001 level I & II
* NFPA 1021 Level I
* Above average written & verbal communication skills
* Experience in a training environment is considered an asset
* NFPA 1041 Level I, 1051, 1081, 1006 Awareness & 1006 High Angle or Confined Space disciplines are considered assets
* EMT is considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
* Shift work - 12 hour dayshifts
* Located in Fort McMurray - relocation is required
