EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ANALYST
IPS has an opportunity for a dynamic candidate with good technical knowledge of large group insurance plans to act as a liaison between the broker and the insurance carrier. Our client company is a dynamic, high growth insurance brokerage that is dedicated to client satisfaction. This company offers its employees excellent benefits and lots of room for personal growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, analyze and evaluate group insurance plans for employer groups , provide options and negotiate with Carriers • Discuss renewal/marketing strategy with Broker and Account Manager • Gather data, prepare attractive and clear proposals and explain renewals • Review client team’s RFPs • Select markets for solicitation • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, Carriers and brokers • Maintain and improve knowledge of new products, changes and underwriting guidelines
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: • Knowledge of large group benefit insurance, underwriting experience desired • Skilled use of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Strong communication skills, team player, integrity, positive attitude • Ca Life & Health insurance license preferred but not required • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, responsive and self- motivated • Stable work history • Ability to put together proposals • Comfortable with direct client contact • Enjoy working on a team with a producer, account manager and account coordinator • Retail brokerage experience required, self funded experience a major plus
