Job Title: ENGINEER - HYDRAULIC DESIGN
Responsibilities: We are conducting a search for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer.
The Hydraulic Engineer will be required to work with the engineering design and development team in order to coordinate the work of designers and other supporting staff who assist in specific assignments as needed, directs the conceptual design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing.
The Hydraulic Engineer/Designer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and hydraulic systems. Perform engineering design evaluations and participate in the development of new products.
Responsibilities:
Design
Prepare concept, design and production drawings with supporting calculations
Write performance requirements for product development and engineering projects
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports related to mechanical and hydraulic systems
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations for improvement
Work with colleagues in other manufacturing areas in order to provide cost effective solutions to design challenges
Experience in Hydraulics that will allow you to take charge of total hydraulic design of custom mobile equipment to support a wide range of customer requirements (both open and closed loop circuits)
Provide drawings for designed systems
Equipment design and detail drawings for systems and applications
Technical support for customers
Requirements: Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent diploma combined with work experience in hydraulic systems design
5 years of hydraulic systems design experience ( specifically with equipment manufactured in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment )
Experience working with 3D software
Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of electrical/controls systems an asset
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve during manufacturing of design
Creativity
