The electric systems business based in Rockford, IL has an immediate need for a manager of Engineering Services.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Manage engineering technical support functions for the electric systems business, including mechanical stress and dynamics, drafting (both mechanical and electrical) and engineering tools development. These functions are critical to the successful execution of our many development programs.
Key responsibilities for the position include recruitment, development and retention of engineering talent, planning (budgets and schedules for new programs), staffing, execution/oversight of program commitments (cost, schedule, technical), management/oversight of outsourcing, and process/tools development with a focus on continuous process improvement.
Minimum qualifications
BS Mechanical
Minimum of 2 years experience leading teams
working knowledge of mechanical stress and dynamics analysis

MS Mechanical Engineering and 7 total years of relevant experience
MBA and/or fluency in a foreign language is a plus
2-3 years minimum experience in a supervisory role
The successful candidate must have:
1. Strong working knowledge of mechanical stress and dynamics analysis using the ANSYS tools suite, mechanical and electrical drafting standards using Teamcenter/Unigraphics tools suite, and good understanding of off the shelf engineering design tools.
2. An excellent working knowledge of ACE/continuous process improvement methods and a proven track record of accomplishments in roles of increasing responsibility is essential.
3. Strong project management, organizational and communications skills.
