Job Description
Experience a great opportunity to work as an Executive Chef at Primary Children's Medical Center. The Executive Chef plays a vital role in retail, catering and patient care food production. The qualified candidate will have direct supervisory responsibility for all production staff as well as for food quality, customer satisfaction and budget constraints while complying with all regulatory agencies. This candidate is the key interface for all food service department units to ensure best outcomes.
Job Essentials:
1. Accountable for effective management and leadership of HR functions.
2. Designs, manages,coordinates and participates in all food production.
3. Functions as a technical expert,teacher and trainer while remaining current with industry trends.
4. Partners with department leadership to ensure transparent flow of production and service.
5. Practices and enforces safety and regulatory requirements.
6. Strategizes and develops capital and operating budgets and manages resources effectively.
7. Develops and maintains a high level of customer service.
8. Participates in the Intermountain Food Service Products and Chef Teams.
9. Develops menus,recipes,production methods,presentation and pricing standards which include processes to evaluate for acceptable taste and presentation.
10. Participates in quality monitoring and directs improvement activities and processes measured by quality control monitors.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree from a culinary arts program. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Five years experience in quantity food service management or sous chef experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Intermediate level of computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Current food handlers permit as required by county or willing to obtain upon hire.
ServSafe certification within 90 days of employment.
Certification from the American Culinary Federation (ACF) within 6 months of hire
