Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer will provide technical assistance, advice and instruction to customers and owners of IDI supplied equipment with respect to the installation, maintenance, and operation of our products and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with customer on questions concerning equipment erection requirements and protocol.
- Place equipment into operation and instruct users in use and care of equipment.
- Inspect completed installations prior to placement of equipment into operation.
- Instruct customers in the use of operations and maintenance manuals for IDI equipment.
- Report problems and recommend improvements in design or process.
- Investigate and report equipment malfunctions – consult with IDI project management on recommended course of repair. Perform minor adjustment to or recalibration of equipment when necessary.
- Consult with customer in spare parts requirements and assist in procurement.
- When on customer project site, serve as liaison between customers and IDI office.
- Document all activities for use by marketing, engineering, and procurement staff.

Requirements:
Qualifications: B.S. degree in engineering preferred or compatible work experience may be substituted for degree. Minimum of 1 year shop or field experience in installation, maintenance and operation of similar or related equipment. We offer an excellent benefit package with a 401K savings plan. EOE/M/F/H
