Description
Assist Controller in providing timely financial information for Internal and Corporate Reporting. Proactive member of the Accounting leadership team. Ensure financial controls are in place, implements operating plans, and manages local assets. Partner with other functional leadership to improve overall performance and productivity. Apply the ITW principles/toolbox to improve processes.
Financial Reporting and Analysis Provide Accurate and timely reporting of financial information in compliance with ITW policies and GAAP. including understanding and oversight of inventory and costing system, monthly flash and tracking reports, plant metrics, outlooks, routine variance analysis, spending analysis and ad hoc analyses. Provide financial analysis to help leadership team develop an understanding of the financial results and drive improvements within the business. This would include but is not limited to financial statement analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), and Dashboards. Measure, monitor and analyze working capital trends (specifically inventory). Financial Planning Assist the BCG-NA controller with the preparation of various financial plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis required for the operations location. Support the sales and operations functions with pro-forma, comparative, and actual vs. forecast analyses to support leadership decision-making. Business Partner Provide active involvement, support and partnership with the management team as well as other operational areas as needed. May also include supervisory responsibilities of accounting team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Special Projects Provide financial support for various special projects. This could include new product costing, cost analysis, internal/external audits, sales/use tax audits, and other various projects. This would also include use of the ITW toolbox, USa, 80/20, and all other core principles. Capital Create Expenditure authorizations (EA’s) that support additional investments in the plant or other operational areas if necessary. Examine and present relevant metrics for evaluation such as cost savings, ROI, and payback. Ensure compliance to approved spending. Audit upon due dates. Requirements
Education and/or Experience * Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance with 3+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment. * CPA * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point required * Excellent Business and communication skills through all levels of the organization * Excellent Analytical skills * Previous supervisory experience required * Experience working with MRP system a plus. * Previous manufacturing environment a plus.
