The primary purpose of this job is to supervise security and fire specialist personnel. This position is responsible for ensuring the protection of the client's property and the safety of the individuals working therein by implementing and monitoring applicable loss prevention programs. Specific duties and processes will be outlined in the applicable post order for clients site. The general duties include, but may not be limited to:
Developing and training subordinates.
Developing and maintaining lines of communication with client Management personnel at all levels to ensure efficient operations at clients location.
Enhancing and maintaining a favorable image and attitude among subordinates.
Performing various non-traditional tasks including Console Room monitoring, FMS data management, lobby attendance, badging operations, office administration/scheduling and reporting writing, as needed.
Issuing ''hot work'' permits, confined space permits and/or standbys.
Conducting first responder role as needed.
Interfacing with carriers and vendors.
Other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position:
Associates degree or equivalent experience in loss prevention, criminal justice or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and general correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow co-workers.
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts with basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
A thorough knowledge of security management, physical security and fire prevention principles and techniques.
Ability to monitor the performance of subordinates and provide the necessary training and guidance for success.
May require knowledge of internet programs, word processing software, and other software as may be required.
Maintain a valid drivers license vehicle operators must be at least 25 year s of age and have a driving record with no more than one (1) moving violation.
Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Obtain and maintain a state security office license, if applicable.
Mangement Experience Required.
EMT Basic,HAZWOPR, Incipient Fire, Bloodborne Pathogens, Confined Space Rescue, Incident Commander, CPR/AED/First Aid Certification is requried.
