With locations in all 50 states and over 20 countries around the world, you will be defining the future working side by side with men and women representing the Department of Defense and other Governmental organizations. The team supports U.S. Army simulation training based out of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Employing the Army's Warfighters' Simulation (WARSIM), data analysts coordinate with the supported military training team's exercise points of contact to determine the exercise schedule and develop database development milestones; attend designated planning conferences; determine the data sources required to accurately simulate the exercise troop list; and pull from those sources to develop exercise unique scenario files. Data analysts coordinate requirements and work in a collaborative environment with other analysts and technicians to perform detailed scenario reviews, make database adjustments, and test the final product before it goes into production to support a Corps, Division, or Brigade Combat Team training event. Exercise support requires work at home station and deployment to exercise sites throughout the United States, Germany and Korea. The position also requires accurate historical recordkeeping during and after each training event.
Basic Qualifications: A working knowledge of US Army organizations, equipment, operations and training are important to job success. A n understanding of the Army logistical support environment and procedures will be especially beneficial. Requires working knowledge and experience with Microsoft server and client operating systems. Technical skills administering Server 2008 and Windows 7 are a plus. Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 applications, especially Access database programming, are preferred. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. Must have or be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
