Food Svc Worker PRN-02699-23482 Primary Location : United States-Virginia-Hopewell-John Randolph Medical Center - Hopewell Job : Food Services & Nutrition Schedule : PRN/Per Diem Description 1. Prepares, assembles, and/or stores food or supply items for patients, cafeteria, or catering according to established procedures or recipes and job assignments. 2. Prepares and/or sets up food items in a timely manner. 3. Maintains a clean, sanitized, and organized work area as assigned. 4. Follows safety and sanitation standards. 5. Makes proper use of foods and supplies to minimize waste. 6. Effectively communicates product outages and ingredient or supply needs. 7. Works cooperatively with other staff members. 8. Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including dress code, attendance, and professional behavior. 9. Demonstrates ability to evaluate a product according to established procedures. Makes suggestions for improvements to operation of department. 10. Transports food and supplies to and/or from serving and patient areas. Stores food and supplies properly. 11. Operates machines and equipment safely and accurately. 12. Promotes positive customer relations with courtesy and respect towards patients, visitors and all staff Qualifications EXPERIENCE Required - No prior training or experience is required. Must have great customer service skills. Must be available for schedule as needed by department. Preferred -1-2 years food service experience preferred, previous experience in hospital food services preferred. EDUCATION Required - Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
