Job Description: - Provide hydraulic power steering, electric power steering, and product support at all levels to OEM engineering & manufacturing facilities.- Design HPS/EPS rack & pinion steering gears as needed to support customer requirements and specifications including Pro-E, packaging, component and assembly drawings, component release, sizing for system, DFMEA, etc.- Hold design review meetings with suppliers to clarify all technical aspects of the components.- Identify product growth opportunities with OEMs.- Work with account managers to establish and maintain contacts at OEM and manage projects.- Support continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.- Communicate with companies core engineering on product direction, design standards & customer requirements.- Prepare design proposals for new business opportunities outlining the companies design solutions to customer requirements.- Gain OEM approval of manufacturing deviations as requested by manufacturing facility.- Comply with TS16949 and other industry policies and itional Job Info: - BSME required, Master Degree desired.- 3+years experience in engineering field.- Experience with hydro-mechanical and/or electro-mechanical steering systems required.- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.- Advanced reading, mathematical, written and verbal communication, mechanical, engineering and technical skills required.- Proficient with Pro-E required.- Proficient with GD&T required.- German language skills desired.
