Automation Systems Interconnect, Inc, ASI, based in Mechanicsburg is a manufacturer and supplier of electrical and electronic components used throughout a wide range of industries in North America. Our growing business has created a need for an experienced inventory control specialist who can help to develop, implement and monitor inventory control processes and a system that will help us to meet the needs our customers. Initially this is a part-time position but it could lead to full time if desired and the person meets our goals and expectations. If selected the ideal candidate will be able to accomplish the following: 1. organize and manage all functions relating to an inventory of several thousand components 2. develop and implement an inventory control system that will allow us to more accurately control inventory 3. analyze usage and develop mins and maxs for all products 4. work with sales and customer service to determine levels for new products and programs to move slow moving items 5. develop reports for use by management and meet regularly to discuss inventory and strategies 6. work with the warehouse team to monitor, count and adjust inventory 7. reconcile differences in inventory counts and correct root causes of problems This can be a great position if you have the experience and the ability to get the job done with minimal direction and support. You should have at least 5 years experience with inventory control in a similar environment with a strong ability to work with inventory control software and reports. This will require that you are detail oriented, have strong organization and analytical skills and that you are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
