Project Scientist TE Mid Atlantic #28088 Position Description We are seeking a full-time Project Scientist to conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) evaluations. This position will require you to perform field inspections of various property types, primarily sites under consideration for telecommunications installations. You will perform independent research of local, state, and federal resources in compiling the information required for Phase I ESAs, and NEPA Screening Reports. Technical report writing is required. The position typically involves approximately 50% field time and 50% office time. Experience Required Prior experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and NEPA Reports conducted for wireless carriers, tower companies, acquisition firms, or lenders. A professional science degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, geology, engineering, or related field, and at least two years professional experience in NEPA consulting and/or due diligence. An understanding of and experience with NEPA reviews for proposed construction projects, including evaluating impacts to floodplains, wetlands, endangered species habitats, and historic properties. Excellent report writing skills, computer and internet skills. Excellent communication and management skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will require you to simultaneously manage electronic deliverables on many ongoing projects. Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budget. Ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less). This position will require travel primarily throughout the Mid Atlantic Region as well as occasional trips throughout the US in an effort to support national needs. All related travel expenses are reimbursed. LBP and ACM Certification a plus.
