Saxon, Saxon Drilling is currently seeking applications for all positions (land rigs only) to work in its, TX, PA and West Virginia locations. Seeking experienced land rig Drillers: Position requires: 5+ Years Rig Experience (land rigs). Must have a valid Well Control certificate. Advanced mechanical knowledge of rotary drill equipment, mud pumps and associated equipment; working knowledge of rigging procedures and break point limits. Ability to work long hours and perform physically strenuous and repetitive job task. Must be legally able to work in the US. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Manage rig floor operations and drilling processes; monitor mud operation. Diagnose and report down hole problems; Update and monitor daily rig well history log to include drilling rate, etc. Supervise and monitor the day to day activities of the drilling crew: conduct pre-tour safety meeting; facilitate crew training needs. Facilitate and enforce company and safety policies, processes and procedures. Inspect drilling rig to ensure compliance and regulatory compliance. Seeking experienced land rig Derrickhands: Position requires: 5+ Years Rig Experience (land rigs). Ability to work long hours and perform physically strenuous and repetitive job task. Mechanical knowledge of rotary drill equipment, mud pumps and associated equipment. Must be legally able to work in the US. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Work on the rod platform of the derrick and operate power hoist in truckmounted, pulling-machine derrick to transfer rod sections to and from derrick racks to rod lifting clamps as sections are removed or returned to oil well. Supervise and maintain mud systems. Operate drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions and other mechanical equipment. Watch and maintain proper fluid characteristics and rate of fluid circulation. Seeking experienced land rig Motorhands: Position requires: 4+ Years Rig Experience (land rigs). Ability to work long hours and perform physically strenuous and repetitive job task. Ability to utilize hoists, hand tools, gauges, drills, grinding wheels, and motor analyzers, pressure gauges, chassis charts and factory manuals. Must be legally able to work in the US. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintenance and operation of rig motors to include checking oil level/pressure, temperature, fuel pressure and cooling water reservoirs on all equipment. Inspect, repair and maintain functional parts of automotive and mechanical equipment and machinery, such as pumps, compressors, pipe-laying machines, ditch diggers, trucks, and all equipment used in petroleum exploration. Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs. Seeking experienced land rig Floorhands: Position requires: 3-5 Years Rig Experience (land rigs). Ability to work long hours and perform physically strenuous and repetitive job task. Must be legally able to work in the US. Duties may include, but are not limited to: A variety of general laboring duties which include assisting in operating machinery to drill oil or gas wells, using hand-tools and power tongs and wrenches. Assembling and disassembling casings and pipe sections, using hand and power wrenches and tongs. Other duties include washing, cleaning, mechanical repairs, ditch digging, drill string connections, drill string trips, and other manual operations needs as required. Preferred candidate should be "Safety Conscious" with an "Excellent" attendance record and able to work within company policies, processes and procedures. Candidate should possess excellent communication/organizational skills. Candidate must be able to work in extreme environmental temperatures and/or conditions.
