The State of Florida Department of Management Services is seeking an experienced procurement attorney to advise Division of State Purchasing. This position assists in setting statewide procurement policy. The incumbent will provide oversight and counsel to the Division and other state agencies regarding the interpretation and application of procurement laws and rules. Information about the Division of State Purchasing may be found at this link: />The individual serving in this role participates as a member of the Purchasing Director’s leadership team. Candidates must be customer focused, self-motivated, flexible, and results-oriented individuals, possessing strong written and oral communication skills, and rulemaking experience. The successful candidate must possess strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Specific requirements are:
* J.D. degree preferred
* Licensed by the Florida Bar preferred
* At least three years of experience in state procurement law and processes (chapter 287, F.S. and Rule Chapter 60A-1, F.A.C.)
* Rulemaking experience
* Knowledge of procurement and contracting
* Experience developing and maintaining policies and procedures preferred
